Pauline Stephenson Pauline A Stephenson BA (Hons) Psychology; Cert Ed; MSc Ed Psych
Pauline is a Consultant Educational Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (hcpc). She has twenty years' experience as an Educational Psychologist and is a specialist in the field of Specific Learning Difficulties (Spld) e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism. She has a wealth of experience assessing children and adults and also has a particular interest in traumatic brain injury TBI. Pauline has experience of children with sensory impairment and advises staff at schools and colleges and liaises with parents. She is an Expert Witness for legal firms and has assessed children and adults providing reports for the Court.

Pauline is a co-author of a book on behaviour titled '101 Essential Lists on Managing Behaviour in the Secondary School', published by Bloomsbury.

Pauline works with children and young adults who are on the autism spectrum and is a specialist in this field. The behavioural difficulties which can arise are often not fully understood by teachers and parents. Advice on how to address these can be provided together with programmes of intervention.

She is a former member of the British Psychological Society and was awarded Chartered status CPsychol and made an Associate Fellow AFBPs. Pauline was an examiner in 2012 for Pearson Assessment's Standardisation Project for the new Wechsler Pre-School and Primary Scale of Intelligence WPPSI IV UK and the Pre-School Language Scale PLS-5 UK.

Pauline was Acting Principal Psychologist in Calderdale Metropolitan Borough, and later worked in a number of other authorities. She took a lead as educational psychologist in a government behaviour project. Prior to training as an educational psychologist at Manchester University, Pauline taught in primary, secondary, special and further education.

Pauline has worked closely over a number of years with staff, parents and children in an International School and in the Cayman Islands. Students working towards GCSEs and International GCSE's may require special examination arrangements and assessments for these are available.
